URBANCOLLECTIVE Re-Education - 28th February 2003
From the huge success of the Launch Night, Urban Collective were back in Banbury with Re-education.
Beano Brown & Kilbz set things a light with 2 hours of solid grooves. It was the trademark rough with the smooth, Kilbz providing the smooth, soulful R&B with Beano backing things up with some hard hitting hip-hop beats.
The crowd were graced with MC chants from Urban Collective's latest signing, Benzi hyping the crowd up ready for Blues & Soul Magazine's Stretch Taylor.
So enter DJ Stretch Taylor & top UK rapper Chris Smoove. The crowd were ready for something special & Urban Collective delivered.
Beano & Chris fired things off with back to back frantic rhyming over Dr Dre's "Next Episode". From this point Stretch had the crowd rocking in tune for 2 solid hours with some heavyweight scratching, mixing upfront R&B cuts with some massive anthems.
Chris made sure the dance floor was kept buzzing with his gritty rhyming & lively dancehall chants.
Kilbz & Benzi ended the evening on a high, providing some smooth classics to wind down with leaving the Banbury crowd eagerly awaiting the next party.
