URBANCOLLECTIVE
ASCENSION – August Bank Holiday Special 2003

August Bank Holiday saw Urban Collective in full effect again taking over Banbury, with the warm up session running through the Buck.
Tickets for Ascension were like gold dust! Only half an hour into the event, a large queue was already forming with those party people without tickets, queuing in vein hoping to enter the action if any anyone faded early.
The mood was set with Luke G following up his May debut with a smooth slick set running for the first 2 hours. The skill from Mr G was a treat for an already 175 strong crowd.
11pm – Enter the big man Kilbz. The R&B heavyweight moved a now 320 capacity crowd even further with an amazing blend of Dancehall & R&B. At this point, those that had queued outside without tickets for nearly 2 hours, finally began filtering into Ascension.
Midnight – It’s on now! For a solid hour, Beano Brown squared up with some big hip hop/dancefloor bangers to keep the crowd jumping. Finally Kilbz returned to close the party. The tempo didn’t dip. Kilbz took the crowd on a journey back to the old school making sure that this party wasn’t one to forget. Urban Collective’s biggest party to date drew to a close with over 400 people coming through the doors on the night. Watch this space for more information on the next event.
